History

Introduced in mid-2021 and going on sale in 2022, the C5 X is Citroën's current flagship and a deliberate category blurring: part saloon, part estate, part SUV. It sits on a raised platform with 20 cm of ground clearance, a near-fastback roofline, and is offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain (shared technology with the Peugeot 508) delivering significant all-electric range in urban use.

The C5 X continues Citroën's 'Advanced Comfort' programme — very soft suspension tuned for maximum ride compliance over rough roads — while positioning the nameplate against mainstream German executive saloons with a distinctly French character.
