Alvis Silver Eagle History

Introduced in 1929, the Silver Eagle was a series of six-cylinder Alvis cars that broadened the marque beyond its vintage fours into the luxury-sporting market. It was offered with a range of inline-six engines and in sports, coupé and saloon forms.

Roughly 1,357 Silver Eagles were built across its run. Its overhead-valve six formed the basis for the engine that, heavily modified, would power the faster Speed 20 that followed.
