Zenvo TSR-S History
History
Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the Zenvo TSR-S is the street-legal derivative of the track-only TSR (2016). Both cars share a 5.8-litre twin-supercharged flat-plane V8, but the TSR-S is tuned to 1,194 PS (1,177 hp) routed through a seven-speed paddle-shift gearbox offering a road mode and a direct race mode. All power goes to the rear wheels.
The defining feature is Zenvo's Centripetal Wing — a large rear aerofoil that rotates on two axes under computer control. In cornering it tilts toward the inside of the turn, loading the inner rear wheel and actively increasing lateral grip; under braking it pitches to act as an air brake. The system attracted both admiration and scepticism from the automotive press, but on circuit it demonstrably altered the car's handling balance.
Every TSR-S is hand-built in Præstø with a full carbon-fibre body, and clients could commission bespoke watermark graphics beneath the clear coat. Production was limited to five units per year across the TSR family. The first TSR-S sold to a Danish customer was a red example that fetched DKK 10.5 million (approximately $1.65 million USD) in April 2018. A final TSR variant, the TSR-GT (three units, 2022), concluded the TSR series before Zenvo transitioned to the Aurora programme.
