Zenvo Aurora History

The Zenvo Aurora was announced in March 2023 and publicly unveiled at The Quail during Monterey Car Week in August 2023. It marks a fundamental technical departure from the ST1/TSR lineage: instead of a supercharged V8, the Aurora is powered by a 6.6-litre quad-turbocharged V12 engine — branded 'Mjølner' (after the Norse god Thor's hammer) — developed with Mahle Powertrain and producing 1,250 hp on its own.

Two variants are offered. The Aurora Agil is the track-focused, rear-wheel-drive configuration; it pairs the V12 with a single 200-hp electric motor for a combined 1,450 hp and a claimed top speed of 227 mph (365 km/h), with a dry weight of approximately 1,300 kg. The Aurora Tur is the road-biased grand-touring variant, adding three electric motors (totalling 600 hp) on the front axle for all-wheel drive and a combined 1,850 hp; Zenvo claims 0–62 mph in 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 248 mph, with an ultimate target of 280 mph.

Production of 50 units of each variant — 100 total — is planned, with deliveries scheduled to commence in 2026 from the same Præstø facility. The Aurora represents Zenvo's first hybrid powertrain and its largest production commitment to date.
