ZAZ Vida History

ZAZ began serial production of the Vida in 2012 under an assembly agreement tied to General Motors' Ukrainian operations. The car was mechanically identical to the Chevrolet Aveo T250 — a GM global subcompact — but badged as a ZAZ Vida for the domestic market. It represented a quality step above the Lanos family, with a more contemporary interior and European-standard crash-test engineering.

Production continued through the mid-to-late 2010s (sources vary — Wikipedia's model list cites 2012–2014, while other references extend serial output to around 2018), overlapping with the final years of Lanos passenger-car assembly, before ZAZ's Zaporizhzhia output contracted sharply. The Vida remained the last passenger car assembled at ZAZ before the 2022 Russian invasion forced a full suspension of operations.
