ZAZ Forza History
History
ZAZ signed an agreement with Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile in 2006 to assemble Chery models from kit form. Full-scale production of the Chery A13 — sold in Ukraine as the ZAZ Forza — began in 2011 at the Zaporizhzhia plant. The Forza offered a 1.5-litre engine producing around 109 hp, giving it a performance and size step up from the Sens/Lanos range.
Production ended in 2014 as falling Ukrainian car-market volumes and the economic turmoil following the Euromaidan crisis made the programme unviable. The Forza was the shortest-lived of ZAZ's modern model lines.
