Volkswagen Corrado History
History
The Corrado was a more premium, more powerful sport coupe that effectively replaced the Scirocco; it reached the US for 1990 with the supercharged 'G60' four-cylinder.
From 1992 the US Corrado gained the narrow-angle VR6, which became its signature engine, before sales ended after 1994. A pop-up rear spoiler that deployed at speed is a defining detail. // Source: Wikipedia "Volkswagen Corrado" — US VR6 (Corrado SLC) announced Oct 1991, arrived MY1992 (3,500 for 1992).
