Talbot-Lago T14 LS Sport 2500 History

Presented in May 1955, the T14 LS (Lago Sport) was Talbot-Lago's attempt to re-enter the market with a smaller, more affordable car. Designed around a new 2,491 cc four-cylinder engine producing 120 PS, fitted with a ZF four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox, it wore a two-door coupé body with Italian-influenced styling.

Only 45 examples were produced in total across the model's run, with approximately seven or eight built to the full LS specification; the rest were lower-trim variants. The car struggled commercially — it was still relatively expensive for its performance, and Talbot-Lago's reputation for hand-built luxury could not be transferred convincingly to a small coupe. The T14 LS was discontinued by 1958.
