TagAZ Road Partner History

The TagAZ Road Partner was the Taganrog plant's second SsangYong-derived SUV, based on the Musso — a larger, more station-wagon-influenced body-on-frame design from the Korean maker. It entered production in 2008 alongside the Tager, and was facelifted in 2009.

Like the Tager, the Road Partner was sold under TagAZ's own badge for the Russian domestic market, offering buyers a more spacious alternative to the three-door Tager at a similar price tier. Production figures were smaller than the Tager's, and the model is less documented in English-language sources. Most references place the end of assembly around 2011, though a few extend it toward the factory's final years.
