History
The Doninvest Orion was TagAZ's mid-range offering in its early Doninvest era, based on the Daewoo Nubira platform. Like the Assol, it was assembled from SKD kits at the Taganrog plant and sold exclusively in Russia.
A Citroën Berlingo-based van was also produced briefly at the plant from 1999 to 2002 under the name Orion M, though it was a separate commercial vehicle unrelated to the Nubira-derived Orion sedan. The Doninvest line ended around 2002 as the factory pivoted to Hyundai knock-down assembly.
