SsangYong Tivoli History

Unveiled in January 2015, the Tivoli was SsangYong's first all-new model since the Mahindra acquisition and a deliberate move into the booming subcompact-crossover segment. With relatively modern styling, a range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, and competitive pricing, it proved immediately popular: SsangYong reported its first net profit in nine years in 2016, with the Tivoli contributing more than 50,000 units of domestic sales in its debut year.

A 2019 facelift updated the range with new turbocharged GDi petrol engines (1.2-litre three-cylinder and 1.5-litre four-cylinder) and revised styling. An extended-wheelbase derivative, sold as the Tivoli Air in some markets, added rear-seat space for families. The Tivoli continues in production as a KGM-badged model following the 2023 rebrand.
