SsangYong Rodius History

Released in late 2004, the Rodius was SsangYong's large multi-purpose vehicle, offered in 7-, 9-, and 11-seat configurations on a ladder-frame chassis and sold in Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia. In Australia, New Zealand, and South America it was marketed as the Stavic.

A second generation arrived in 2013 with restyled bodywork and the new Turismo and Stavic names depending on market. European sales ended in 2011 due to poor popularity, briefly returning in 2012 as the Rodius Euro before finally being discontinued across all markets in 2019, when stricter Euro 6D-Temp diesel emission standards made further development uneconomic.
