SsangYong Kyron History
History
Introduced in 2005, the Kyron was a monocoque-bodied mid-size SUV — unusual for SsangYong's predominantly body-on-frame lineup — positioned between the compact Korando and the flagship Rexton.
Offered with diesel and petrol engines across export markets, the Kyron was discontinued around 2015 after a decade in production; the later Torres EVX/Torres was positioned as its spiritual successor in the brand's revised range.
