Reliant Rialto History

The Rialto arrived in 1982 as a restyled successor to the original Robin, with a more angular, modern body over essentially the same fibreglass-and-steel three-wheeled platform and 848 cc Reliant engine. It was offered in saloon, hatchback, estate and van forms.

The Rialto and the revived Robin overlapped through the late 1980s and into the 1990s as Reliant kept its three-wheeler line going for a loyal economy-minded and motorcycle-licence market; Rialto production ended in 1996, after which the Robin name carried the trikes through to the end.
