Pontiac Parisienne History
History
The Parisienne had been a Canadian-market Pontiac for decades; it was brought to the United States for 1983 to give Pontiac a traditional rear-drive, body-on-frame full-size car after the Bonneville had been downsized.
Essentially a Pontiac-trimmed full-size GM B-body, the US Parisienne was sold through 1986 (the wagon a little longer) as tastes moved toward front-wheel drive.
