History

The Montana name began as a trim on the Trans Sport before becoming the standalone Pontiac minivan for 1999, GM's U-body people-mover dressed in Pontiac's sportier styling.

A longer Montana lasted through 2005 in the US (continuing in Canada as the Montana SV6), after which Pontiac exited the minivan segment.
