Pontiac G8 History
History
The G8 (2008–2009) was a rear-wheel-drive sport sedan imported from Australia — a rebadged Holden Commodore — that critics loved for its V6 and V8 power, balance, and value.
The range-topping G8 GXP used a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and is remembered as one of the best cars Pontiac ever sold, but it arrived just as GM's restructuring doomed the brand; production ended after 2009.
