History

The G5 was Pontiac's entry-level compact for 2007–2009, replacing the Sunfire on GM's Delta platform as a Pontiac-trimmed sibling of the Chevrolet Cobalt.

It had been sold earlier in Canada (as the Pursuit, then G5) before the US launch, and was dropped as Pontiac's lineup contracted ahead of the brand's closure.
