Opel Grandland History
History
The Grandland X arrived in 2017 as Opel's compact crossover sitting above the Mokka in the lineup, initially on GM's EMP2 platform and sharing architecture with the Peugeot 3008. It was one of the first Opel models to arrive after PSA's acquisition of the brand.
A plug-in hybrid version offered significant electric range, and a second generation Grandland (dropping the 'X' suffix) debuted in 2022 on a new platform, bringing the next-gen Opel Vizor front face and updated electrified powertrains.
