Ola Electric S1 X History

Introduced in August 2023 as Ola Electric's most affordable model, the S1 X opened the company's lineup to buyers who found the S1 Pro's price point out of reach. The S1 X was offered with battery packs ranging from 2 kWh to 5.2 kWh (including an S1 X Plus variant), with claimed ranges from approximately 108 km (2 kWh) to 242 km (4 kWh) and a top speed up to 101 km/h depending on specification.

The S1 X retained the core MoveOS-connected platform and the 7-inch TFT display of the wider S1 family while trimming costs through a simplified motor and smaller base battery. Starting ex-showroom prices for the 2 kWh variant were set around ₹89,957, making it one of the more competitive options in India's growing electric scooter market. A Gen 3 version of the S1 X followed in 2025 as part of Ola's broader platform refresh.
