History

The Silvia was Nissan's long-running Japanese-market rear-drive sport coupe; its later S13 (1988–1993) and S15 (1999–2002) chassis are revered tuner and drift cars.

The Silvia name was not used in the US — the closely related 240SX (S13/S14) was the American-market equivalent — making JDM Silvias (and the SR20DET engine) sought-after grey imports.
