History
Launched globally for the 2009 model year (chassis R35), the GT-R was the first to be sold as a standalone Nissan model worldwide rather than a Skyline variant, reaching the US officially for the first time.
Its hand-built twin-turbo VR38DETT V6 and advanced all-wheel-drive system delivered supercar performance at a fraction of European rivals' prices, earning the 'Godzilla' nickname inherited from the JDM Skyline GT-R.
