NIO ET9 History

The ET9 is NIO's range-topping executive sedan, with customer deliveries beginning on March 29, 2025 as the brand's technological showcase. It features a 900-volt electrical architecture for ultra-fast charging (compatible with NIO's 800V swap packs as well), a steer-by-wire system, and NIO's latest intelligent driving stack.

The ET9 sits above the ET7 in NIO's sedan hierarchy and is intended to compete with the Mercedes EQS and BMW i7 in the Chinese ultra-luxury EV segment.
