NIO EC6 History

The EC6 was announced in late 2019 and launched in China in September 2020 as a fastback coupe-roof counterpart to the ES6, sharing its platform while adding a more aerodynamic, sporty silhouette and five-seat packaging.

A second-generation EC6 based on the NT 2.0 platform followed, offering the same battery swap compatibility and expanded battery options (75 kWh, 100 kWh, and 150 kWh semi-solid-state) as the rest of NIO's current lineup.
