History

The Roadster was introduced in 2004 to slot in above the four-cylinder cars as the traditional V-engined Morgan after the Rover-V8 Plus 8 ended. It used a Ford V6 — initially the 3.0-litre Duratec (around 226 hp), updated in 2012 to the more powerful 3.7-litre Cyclone (around 280 hp) — in the classic steel-chassis, ash-framed body.

Production ran until 2019, spanning the same traditional steel-chassis era as the rest of Morgan's conventional range before the whole lineup transitioned to the bonded-aluminium CX platform.
