Marussia F2 History

Revealed on 2 May 2010 and developed in collaboration with Valmet Automotive, the Marussia F2 was a dramatic departure from the company's sports car formula. The full-size, five-door SUV concept seated four passengers and featured power sliding rear doors — a first for the class — alongside an interior loaded with flat-panel monitors, GPS, Bluetooth, and Skype integration. Marussia marketed it as equally suited to use as a luxury vehicle, a mobile command centre, or an emergency-response platform.

The F2 was powered by a 3.6-litre engine producing 340 PS and weighed 1,650 kg, with all-wheel drive. Valmet Automotive was cited as the planned production partner, with 300 units said to be scheduled for 2012. No evidence of actual series production has emerged; the F2 remained a concept study and the company's bankruptcy in 2014 ended any prospect of it reaching customers.
