History

The TSO, launched in 2004 from Marcos's Kenilworth base, was the marque's last new car. It used a General Motors / Chevrolet small-block LS V8, wrapped in a modern interpretation of the traditional long-nosed Marcos GT shape. It appeared in several forms: an initial Australia-only LS1-engined GT (2004), the European GT2 (2005), and the racing-focused GTC (2006), spanning roughly 350 to 460 bhp.

Only a handful of road cars were built — sources cite around five or six, some left incomplete. Marcos Engineering went into voluntary liquidation on 9 October 2007, ending nearly five decades of intermittent, founder-driven sports-car production. The brand name has since passed through several would-be revivals.
