History
The Mantis M70 (1970) was an unusual departure for Marcos: a full four-seater road coupe rather than the marque's typical low two-seat sports car, with controversial wedge styling. It was powered by the 2.5-litre straight-six from the Triumph TR6.
It arrived just as Marcos hit financial crisis, and only around 32 were built before the original company folded in 1971. Its name was later reused, unrelated, for the very different 1997 Ford-V8 production Mantis.
