History

Unveiled on June 19, 2021 in Shanghai, the 09 is Lynk & Co's flagship SUV and its only model built on Volvo's larger SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform rather than the CMA platform used by all other Lynk & Co models — a platform it shares with the Volvo XC90.

Assembled at the Meishan plant near Ningbo, the 09 is available in six- or seven-seat configurations. The plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-litre twincharged engine with up to three permanent magnet synchronous motors for 519 PS (382 kW) in the top Voyage Edition, supported by a 40.1 kWh battery. Standard PHEV output is 431 PS (317 kW) with an 18.8 kWh battery and a BorgWarner AWD system. Top trims include Level 2 and Level 3 autonomous driving functions.
