Lynk & Co 05 History
History
Launched in 2020, the 05 is effectively a coupe-roofed interpretation of the 01 — riding the same CMA platform but stretched approximately 80 mm longer with a sloped fastback roofline. It targeted the growing coupe-SUV sub-segment within China's compact crossover market.
A 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 251 hp is the primary engine, with a plug-in hybrid option and a performance-oriented 05+ variant (265 hp, AWD) arriving in August 2021. Sales peaked at 32,502 units in its launch year.
