History
The Fourteen Roadrider of 1937 was a 1,527 cc six-cylinder Lanchester that was almost identical to the contemporary Daimler New Fifteen — a clear marker of how closely the two BSA marques had merged by the late 1930s.
About 2,000 were built before the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939–1940 ended civilian car production. It was the last of the pre-war Lanchesters; the marque resumed after the war with the LD10.
