History
The Forte replaced the Spectra as Kia's compact for the 2010 model year, arriving initially as a sedan and coupe (Forte Koup) and later adding a hatchback. It positioned as a value-rich alternative to the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.
The third-generation Forte (from 2019) earned particular praise for its upscale styling and feature content relative to its price. Kia discontinued the Forte after the 2024 model year, replacing it with the newly named K4 for 2025.
