History

The EV9 arrived in the US for the 2024 model year as Kia's largest vehicle — a three-row, seven-passenger electric SUV on the E-GMP platform, starting at around $54,900.

Built at Kia's plant in West Point, Georgia (which qualifies it for federal EV tax credits), the EV9 competes with the Rivian R1S and Cadillac Lyriq as a premium family electric SUV with a long-range EPA rating and 800-volt fast charging.
