History
The EV6 reached the US as a 2022 model on Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated E-GMP electric platform — the same architecture as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 — offering 800-volt fast charging and a rear-drive or dual-motor AWD layout in a sleek crossover body.
It won multiple awards including the 2022 World Car of the Year, and the performance EV6 GT (576 hp, 0–60 in roughly 3.4 seconds) arrived for 2023, giving Kia its first genuine high-performance electric.
