Kia Cadenza History

The Cadenza reached the US for the 2014 model year as Kia's large near-luxury sedan, sitting above the Optima with a V6, a spacious cabin, and a long list of standard features at a lower price than German and Japanese luxury rivals.

Two US generations were sold (2014–2016 first gen, 2017–2020 second gen) before the Cadenza was discontinued after the 2020 model year, a casualty of the shift away from large sedans.
