History
The F-Type launched in 2013 (as a convertible, with a coupe following) as Jaguar's return to a true two-seat sports car — the long-awaited successor in spirit to the E-Type, derived from the aluminium XK. It offered supercharged V6 and V8 engines, with the range-topping V8 R and SVR models delivering serious performance and a famously theatrical exhaust.
The F-Type became symbolically important as Jaguar pivoted to an all-electric future: production ended in 2024, the final cars including the limited V8 'ZP Edition', making the F-Type the last internal-combustion sports car Jaguar produced before its electric reinvention.
