History
The Oasis was the product of Isuzu and Honda's reciprocal badging arrangement: in exchange for the Honda Passport (a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo), Isuzu received a version of the first-generation Honda Odyssey, which it sold as the Oasis from the 1996 model year.
Mechanically identical to the Odyssey, the Oasis offered a front-drive minivan with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder in an era when the segment was booming. Sales were light in Isuzu's small dealer network, and the arrangement ended in 1999 when Honda redesigned the Odyssey. The partnership between Isuzu and Honda was formally concluded in 2001.
