Isuzu Amigo History
History
The Amigo was Isuzu's compact two-door SUV for the US, a shorter, more affordable and more off-road-oriented companion to the five-door Rodeo. First sold for the 1989 model year, it was available with a removable soft or hard top and genuine 4x4 hardware.
After a hiatus, a second-generation Amigo returned for 1998. The nameplate was retired for 2001, when Isuzu rebadged it as the Rodeo Sport to share marketing with the five-door line.
