History

The G37 stepped up from the G35 with Nissan's new 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V6 rated at 328–330 hp in North American trim. The coupe launched first, for 2008, followed by the G37 sedan for 2009 and a G37 convertible for 2009. All used the V36 Nissan Skyline platform.

When Infiniti adopted its new naming system for 2014 — all cars to 'Q', all SUVs to 'QX' — the G37 sedan became the Q50, and the G37 coupe and convertible became the Q60, ending the G-series name after more than two decades.
