History
The EX35 went on sale in December 2007 for the 2008 model year, a compact luxury crossover on the FM rear-drive car platform using a 297-hp 3.5-liter V6. It was the first production vehicle to offer a surround-view camera (Around View Monitor). An engine upgrade to the 3.7-liter VQ37VHR brought a brief rebadge to EX37 for 2013.
The 2014 naming reset turned it into the QX50. A second-generation QX50 arrived for 2019 with a revolutionary variable-compression turbocharged four-cylinder engine (VC-Turbo) on a new front-drive-based platform. Infiniti confirmed the QX50 and QX55 would be discontinued in December 2025 as the brand consolidated around a smaller lineup.
