History

The Santa Cruz launched for 2022 as Hyundai's first pickup for the US — a compact unibody truck on the Tucson's platform that Hyundai markets as a 'sport adventure vehicle'.

With a short bed and crossover road manners, it competes directly with the Ford Maverick in the revived affordable-small-truck class.
