1992 Ford Mustang
Third generation · Fox-body 1979–1993
The long-running Fox-body, built on Ford’s Fox platform from 1979 to 1993.
The 1992 model year
Overview
A quiet, near-carryover year as the Fox-body wound down and the all-new SN95 loomed. The 225-hp 5.0 and 105-hp 2.3 returned unchanged. The collector highlight is the limited Vibrant Red 'Summer Edition' (1992½) LX 5.0 convertible. Production hit its lowest point of the generation. (Horsepower figures are SAE net.)
