Ferrari F8 Tributo History

Revealed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Ferrari F8 Tributo succeeded the 488 GTB as Ferrari's mainstream mid-engine V8 sports car. Its name ('Tributo' = tribute) acknowledged the lineage of V8 berlinettas stretching back to the 308, and it carried the 488 Pista's 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 in a state of tune delivering 710 hp.

The F8 received revised aerodynamics incorporating an S-duct inspired by the 488 Pista and twin front radiator intakes, producing more downforce than the 488 GTB with less drag. A Spider variant with a retractable hardtop was offered alongside the coupé.

Production ran from 2019 to 2023, when Ferrari announced the end of orders. Approximately 5,000 examples were built across both body styles. The F8 was the last Ferrari mid-engine V8 sports car to use combustion power alone; its successor, the 296 GTB, introduced plug-in hybrid architecture.
