FAW Hongqi E-HS9 History

Debuting at the Beijing Auto Show and going on sale in China in December 2020, the E-HS9 is Hongqi's large battery-electric SUV and the brand's most visible push into export markets; it was among the first Chinese luxury EVs to be officially sold in Europe. Norway was the initial European market — the first Norway-bound shipment left Changchun in late September 2021 and customer deliveries there began in January 2022.

Positioned above any other Hongqi SUV, the E-HS9 offers up to six or seven seats, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, and the Hongqi brand's signature opulent interior treatment.
