Denza N8 History

Announced alongside the N7 in March 2023, the Denza N8 was a seven-seat plug-in hybrid SUV based on the architecture of the discontinued Denza X, giving it a strong resemblance to its predecessor but with updated styling aligned to the post-restructuring Denza design language. It was positioned as a larger, family-focused complement to the performance-oriented N7.

The N8 had a brief production run — from 2023 to 2024 — before being phased out as Denza restructured its N-series SUV lineup around the larger, more capable N8L and N9. Its short lifespan reflected the rapid pace of Denza's product cadence in the BYD-led era rather than any fundamental market failure.
