History

The 21C was unveiled on 11 March 2020 in London — the same week the Geneva Motor Show was cancelled due to COVID-19. Conceived as the debut car of Czinger Vehicles and a real-world demonstration of parent firm Divergent Technologies' DAPS manufacturing platform, it uses AI-driven generative design software to optimise a 3D-printed aluminium node-and-tube spaceframe that is then assembled by robots. The result is a structure Czinger says is lighter and stronger than anything achievable by conventional tooling. The car's lineage traces directly to the 2015 Divergent Blade, the technology demonstrator that first proved 3D-printed chassis manufacture at full scale.

The cockpit is the 21C's most striking detail: a McLaren F1-style central driving position with a passenger seated directly behind the driver in tandem — an arrangement inspired by the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft that minimises frontal area. Power comes from a bespoke 2.88-litre flat-plane-crank twin-turbocharged V8 that revs beyond 10,000 rpm, paired with two front-axle electric motors fed by a lithium-titanate battery, for a combined output of more than 1,250 horsepower at 10,500 rpm. Drive goes through a seven-speed sequential transaxle to all four wheels. Czinger claims 0–60 mph in 1.9 seconds.

Production is limited to 80 cars across all body styles, hand-built in Los Angeles at a base price of approximately $2 million (buyers typically option cars to around $2.5 million). Deliveries began in late 2023. On track the 21C has proven its performance credentials: it set a production-car lap record at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (1:22.30, 2025), won the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb outright (48.82 seconds, 2024), and set a production-car record at the Circuit of the Americas (2:10.70, 2024).
