History

Canoo revealed its electric Pickup Truck on March 11, 2021. Built on the skateboard platform, it used an aggressively cab-forward layout to pack a full-size bed onto a compact, roughly 184-inch-long footprint. The bed was about six feet long and could extend to a fully enclosed eight feet — enough for a 4x8 sheet of plywood — and the design added pull-out side-storage and fold-out work surfaces.

Offered in single- and dual-motor forms, the dual-motor truck was quoted at up to 600 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque, with more than 200 miles of range and up to a 1,800 lb payload. Pre-orders opened in 2021 with deliveries promised 'as early as 2023,' but the truck never reached production; Canoo was still taking pre-orders in 2024, and the program ended with the 2025 bankruptcy.
