Bahman Group Besturn B50 History

As U.S.-led sanctions began squeezing supply chains for Western and Japanese automakers, Bahman Group formed a relationship with China's FAW Group and brought the Besturn B50 (and the B50F variant) to Iran as its first Chinese-origin passenger car — sources place the start of local assembly in the Iranian calendar year 1391 (spanning 2012–2013).

The B50 gave Iranian buyers a mid-size, front-wheel-drive sedan at a time when locally made choices were scarce, bridging the gap between the outgoing Mazda product line and the broader Chinese-brand portfolio that Bahman would eventually build. It was superseded by the more affordable FAW Besturn B30.
