History

Launched as the V8 Vantage in 2005, the first-generation Vantage was a smaller, more affordable and more agile sports car on the VH platform, aimed squarely at the Porsche 911. It used a 4.3-litre (later 4.7-litre) V8, with a brawnier V12 Vantage arriving later in the run, and remained in production through 2018.

An all-new second-generation Vantage arrived for 2018 with aggressive styling and a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, and was substantially updated in 2024. The Vantage has long served as the agile, driver-focused counterpoint to Aston Martin's larger DB grand tourers.
