Aston Martin DB6 History

The DB6 arrived in 1965 as the last of the classic David Brown grand tourers in the DB4–DB6 family. A longer wheelbase made it roomier and more practical, and a distinctive Kamm-style cut-off tail improved high-speed stability.

The DB6 introduced the 'Volante' name that Aston Martin still uses for its convertibles. Built through 1970 (the Mk 2 from 1969), it closed out the six-cylinder DB era before the marque moved to the William Towns-styled DBS and its V8.
